Penguins Game Day (Game 14: Senators)

Sidney Crosby, Pascal Leclaire

Tonight the Penguins look to snap their 2 game losing streak as they face off against the Ottawa Senators for the second time this season. In their last meeting the Penguins had to take it to a shootout to beat the Senators 2-1..

Game Time: 7:00 pm est

Ottawa(7-4-2) @ Pittsburgh(8-5-0)

What To Watch For

The Senators have been playing well since losing Jason Spezza to injury, this is due to the play of Kyle Turris and Milan Michalek. The Penguins need to be aware where these two are at all times.

Letang and Niskanen have been re-activated of of IR. Their availability will be a game time decision, but It’s believed that Letang will play tonight and Nisky will jump in this weekend.

Alfredsson was out last game against he Penguins. Look for him to make an impact tonight as he always plays well against the Pens.

Fleury looks to get the start for the Penguins as Craig Anderson will get the start for the Sens.

The Senators have one of the top Defenses in the league, they are #1 with Goals Against per game with a 1.69.

The Penguins are 6th in the league with 3.08 goals for per game

Around The League

Ryan O’Reilly appears to be on the trading block and the Av’s are looking for a roster player along with one or two prospects.

The Penguins do not appear to be interested in O’Reilly

Realignment new could be coming within a couple weeks.
