Penguins acquire B.Morrow and Pick for J.Morrow and Pick

The Pittsburgh Penguins have aqcuired Brenden Morrow in what appears to be an exchange for Joe Morrow.

To Dallas: Joe Morrow, 5th round pick

To Pittsburgh: Brenden Morrow, 3rd round pick

Current season Stats

Brenden Morrow – 29 Games Played, 6 Goals, 5 Assists, +/- -8, PIM 18                                                                                                                  Morrow is a strong solid player who will absolutely help on a line with Malkin and Neal.

This is simply a great move by Ray Shero and The Pittsburgh Penguins. Not only do they bring in a solid 2nd line player who has grit and toughness, but they get a strong Veteran Leader in Morrow as well. Losing a Prospect like Joe Morrow may seem unfortunate now, but you must Remember we still have Despres, Pouliot and Dumoulin with Despres making noise already.

This is a Deal that will Help the Penguins WIn a Cup NOW! I have been preaching all season that this is the year the Penguins need to make a push, too many what ifs when it comes to players contracts within the next two seasons.

Its A Great Day for Hockey!

Robert Slavinsky

Pittsburgh Penguins writer for Since my childhood I have followed hockey, from the years of The Great One up to The Next One I have followed the fastest sport on ice. Growing up in Pittsburgh PA, I have had the privilege to witness some of Hockey's Greats. Since the days of Le Magnifique no other team in Pittsburgh has mattered to me but the Penguins.
