Sharks Ship D Brad Stuart to Colorado for Picks

san jose sharks trade rumors

The Sharks have traded D Brad Stuart to the Avalanche for a 2016 2nd round draft pick and a 2017 6th round pick.

Stuart, 34, scored 3 goals and added 8 assists for 11 points in 61 games last season. The 6-foot-2, 215 pound 3rd overall pick, started his career in San Jose, but was traded to Boston as a part of the deal that sent Joe Thornton the other way. He was later acquired from Detroit in 2012, and was signed to a 3-year contract.

This goes along with GM Doug Wilson’s statements regarding wanting to get younger, the Sharks now have a little over 15 Million dollars in cap space. It will be interesting to see how they use it, assuming that they do of course.
