Today’s NHL rumors on the Leafs, Panthers, Blackhawks and more:

Sportsnet reports the Toronto Maple Leafs have let teams know they will take back salary in a Phil Kessel trade, but there is a limit as to how much they are willing to accept as the club would prefer prospects and picks.

Sportsnet also reports the Minnesota Wild and Philadelphia Flyers could go after a goalie at the draft.

Sportsnet also notes that two players generating interest are Bruins Milan Lucic and Canes Jeff Skinner.

Toronto Sun lists the top trade candidates as Patrick Sharp, Craig Anderson/Robin Lehner, Ryan O’Reilly, Bryan Bickell, Cam Talbot, Phil Kessel/Dion Phaneuf, T.J. Oshie, Rick Nash and Kevin Bieksa/Dan Hamhuis.

Globe & Mail lists the top 5 trade candidates for the Toronto Maple Leafs as 1. Phil Kessel 2. Dion Phaneuf 3. Jonathan Bernier 4. Tyler Bozak 5. Joffrey Lupul.

NHL.com reports Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon said his team is open to trading their 2015 1st-round pick (11th overall) if it would land them an established scorer.

Chicago Sun-Times reports at least 8 teams have expressed legitimate interest in Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp.
