Bolts: Who to pick 3rd overall/Crunch update!
The draft is drawing closer and the Lightning and their number 3 overall pick have some decisions to make. The new Colorado Avalanche coach, Patrick Roy, said he would be interested in moving the number 1 pick, if something came along. Seth Jones is a highly coveted defenseman, an area the Bolts need to improve. However, trading for the number 1 pick would come with a price tag and the Lightning (at number 3) shouldn’t pay that fee. (more…)

Detroit Red Wings assigning European prospects to the AHL
The Detroit Red Wings are continuing to groom some of their prospects for North American hockey. After assigning Calle Järnkrok to the Grand Rapids Griffins, the club has announced that they have assigned European prospects Teemu Pulkkinen and Alexei Marchenko to the Griffins. They also assigned North American prospects Jake Paterson and Richard Nedomlel to Grand Rapids. (more…)
