The Sharks announced on Wednesday that the team has signed Forward John Scott from Buffalo to a 1 year, $700,000 deal. The tam also announced that they have acquired Forward Tye McGinn from the Flyers in exchange for a 2015 3rd round draft pick. (more…)
First of all, I would like to congratulate the LA Kings on their Stanley Cup victory. Watching it made me wonder how long the Buffalo Sabres will have to wait until they get to lift that cup and raise the banner. The rebuild will happen in 2 stages, the next 2 drafts and free agency. (more…)

With the Olympics underway, and the NHL on a 17 day break or so, it is time to celebrate how great the game is as we watch the best players from around the world battle it out for the ultimate glory. However, in just a couple weeks we will be watching as our favourite teams decide whether to add depth, rebuild, move a goalie, or make a blockbuster move before the trade deadline strikes. So who are some names to really watch out for come March 5th or maybe even before? Reports have already begun circulating that Ray Shero plans on looking for a Top Six Winger to replace Pascal Dupuis as he will most likely be out the remainder of the season. While the rumor mill has been full of possible replacements; who is truly a good fit for the Penguins?

When you think back before the season, who would have guessed that the Tampa Bay Lightning would be 8-3 and on top of the Atlantic division? This young bunch, led by an ageless Marty St. Louis, keeps finding ways to win. On Saturday night they defeated the Buffalo Sabres by the score of 3-2 and on Sunday they downed the Panthers 4-3.
Boston has three upcoming games this week, including three different opponents from three different divisions.
