Galchenyuk to Play on the Wing in 2013-14

Even after a successful rookie season with the Canadiens Alex Galchenyuk will not be playing his natural position of centre according to official sources. In his rookie season Galchenyuk recorded 9 goals, 18 assists, and 27 points in 48 games. He was a Calder candidate but the award was given to Florida Panther Jonathan Huberdeau. Galchenyuk was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States on February 12th, 1994 and was drafted third overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Level Draft. (more…)
