The NHL announced Wednesday through Twitter that The San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings will take their Febuary 21st game outside to Levi’s Stadium, new home of the San Francisco 49ers football team. (more…)
During the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, the New Jersey Devils had six selections available to them. Many felt that the team should go after some scoring prospects, and leave the defensemen and goalies to other teams. Having Cory Schneider at the time primed to sign a long term contract extension, the team did not select any goaltenders. Despite having some high defensive prospects already in the system, it would not be a complete Devils draft without Lou Lamoriello picking one or two blue liners. Some fans also found their wishes granted when the team opted to select four forwards. Just how well did the Devils do in the selections made? The Sharks announced on Wednesday that the team has signed Forward John Scott from Buffalo to a 1 year, $700,000 deal. The team also announced that they have acquired Forward Tye McGinn from the Flyers in exchange for a 2015 3rd round draft pick. (more…)
The San Jose Sharks announced Tuesday that the club has signed Defenseman Taylor Fedun from Edmonton. Also, D Dan Boyle, and F Marty Havlat have signed with other teams.
The Sharks have traded D Brad Stuart to the Avalanche for a 2016 2nd round draft pick and a 2017 6th round pick. (more…)

The San Jose Sharks have signed F Travis Oleksuk to a 1-year, 2-way, $550,000 deal. They have also bought out the last year of F Martin Havlat’s $5,000,000 contract. The 2014 NHL Entry Draft was held on Friday and Saturday in Philadelphia; the Sharks made 8 selections: 6 Forwards, and 2 Defensemen. (more…)
