Eight years ago, life was good for the Edmonton Oilers. They looked primed and ready to hoist the franchise’s sixth Stanley Cup and first since 1990. After rolling through the Detroit Red Wings, San Jose Sharks, and Anaheim Ducks, their last wall to playoff immortality was the Carolina Hurricanes. Oilers At The Trade Deadline

Everybody wants the Oilers to make the playoffs. The question is what will it take for them to make the playoffs? Well thats something the Oilers management is planning on trying to accomplish April 3rd at the trade deadline. The Oilers currently are 10th in the west and three points out and they will have to string more then a couple wins together if they want a shot at the playoffs this year.
